Scott Starr
Scott Starr is the kind of creative force who doesn’t just wear many hats—he handcrafts them, shoots them in perfect light, and probably screen prints the label too. As the founder of Super Volta and creative director of Rev Pop, Scott has spent over two decades shaping brands through sharp-eyed design, emotionally resonant photography, and cinematic storytelling that knows how to cut deep.
A former big-agency designer who walked away from glossy campaigns for BMW and Snickers to build something more human, Scott turned his attention to small businesses and indie-minded entrepreneurs—people who want their story told with heart, edge, and intention. His work behind the lens is driven by instinct and honesty: whether it’s a commercial shoot, documentary short, or branded film, Scott brings a quiet intensity to every frame, balancing composition, concept, and raw feeling.
Super Volta is his studio for those stories. Housed in a converted bowling alley in Bay View, Wisconsin, it’s where he and a tight-knit crew create films and photography that don’t just look good—they mean something. With an eye for texture and truth, Scott’s direction captures more than what’s in front of the camera—it captures the why.
When he’s not behind the camera, he’s behind the curtain—producing, editing, lighting, and pushing pixels. Always chasing that next idea, and always grounded in the belief that smaller teams, deeper relationships, and smarter storytelling make for the most powerful work.
